Google Sarching Tips

       Everyone knows about Google. Why not, it gives us a lot of services. And most of them are free. But we are not using this services appropriately, even we don’t know how to use them.
       For example we always use google search engine for searching words or part of sentence. But google engine have a lot of functionality. As usual if we want to know the time of "New York" we search "world time" . then entering in a website we enter "New York". Then we get the time. But if we firstly search "time NK" google will give us the time in the search result.

       In this article I have gathered some tips for searching google effectively. I hope it will helpful for everyone.

       First I want to tell you two things:
·         Google search engine is not case sensitive, so the result of  "photo" and "PHOTO" will same.
·         Google dose not care about punctuation (like . /  !  ? , '  ;) and spatial character (like @#$%^&*=+-_) .But it care about some exception (like C++, C#, $20)


Searching  Sentence Or Part Of Sentence:
     ["desire word"]
     If you want get our desire sentence or part of sentence in the search result, you have to place the sentence or part of sentence with in two Inverted coma["----"] and then search.

Search In A Website Or Domain:
     [desire words site:desire sitename or domain]
     Throw this syntax you can search your desire word in definite website or domain. If you want type  "minhazulkarim site:facebook.com"  google will give you the link of the word in  "facebook.com". And if you type "photoshop site: .com" google will give the link of website of  .com  domain.

Search In Title Or Text:
     [ intitle:desire word or intext:desire word ]
     If one use this syntax google will gather the link of the website of that contain his desire word in the title or in the text.
     For example if you type "intitle:photoshop brash" and search, google will gather the link of the website of that contain "photoshop brash" in their title. On the other hand if you type "intext: photoshop brash" and search, google will gather the link of the website of that contain "photoshop brashes" in their text written inside of the website.

 Searching Link Of Any Website
       [link:desire website url]
       If you write link:facebook.com you can see the list of that website that contain the link of facebook.
    
Finding Same Type Of website:
       [related: desire website url]
       After typing  "related:facebook.com"  if you search google will show the link of websites that are same to facebook.

Using Google As Calculator:
      We can also use google as a calculator. If we write 4+4*3-2 and search it will show it's result. It can also show the result of sin, cos, log etc.
For example type sin 90 +log 10  and search you will get its result.

Google As Converter:
     Google also could be used as unit converter. If you write "1 litre in gallon" and click on the search tab google will give the result. You can also found the result of 1 USD in yen, 1 mile in inch, 1 inch in cm etc.
 
Definition Search:
     [define desire word]
     For knowing the definition of any word you have to write define before it, google will give you the definition.

Fill In the Gap With Google:
     [desire word *]
     If you want to know any answer , then write a sentence and place  *  in the gap. Then  click on search you will find the answer in the first result. For example type "the capital of Bangladesh is * " and search you will find Dhaka.

Synonym Search:
     [~desire word]
     For finding the synonym of any single word then place ~ in front of the word, you will find the synonym in it's results heading.

Time Search:
     [time:name of desire place]
     To knowing the time of any well known place or town use this syntax. For example if you type  time:Dhaka  and search you will get the time.

Weather Search:
     [weather:name of desire place]
     As like as time search we can find the situation of weather of any well known place of the world.

Time OF Sunrise Or Sunset:
     [sunrise/sunset: name of desire place]
     Same as time and weather

Searching Telephone Number In USA:
     [rphonbook/bphonbook:name of desire person,shortname of state]
     The opportunity of finding telephone number of any person by google is only applicable  for USA. If you want to know the number of Bony harison of Florida state you have to write  "phonbook:bonyharison,fl"  and search. If you type rphonbook: google will give you his home number and if you tipe bphonebook: google will give you the number of his business number.

Speedup Your Inernet Speed By Own

   This post will be helpful to them, how have a low speed  internet connection.

    By default windos reserv 20% of  it's  internet brandwith.through this trick we can use this resev 20%  for our own use.

    Here is the procedure,





1.      Open "run" program, write "gpedit.msc" and press enter.








2.      Click "Computer configuration" in "Computer
      Policy".
3.      Double click on "Administrative Template" in "Computer configuration".
4.      Click on "Network" of "Administrative Template".
5.      Now click on "Qos Packet Scheduler" of "Network".
6.      Now look at the right side. Here you can see "Limit Rservable Brndwidth". Now double
      click on this and select the  enable radio button. Here you can see a box of value. The value generally is 20 by default or other. You have to edit this and make the value 0.



7.      Click "OK" and then exit.

   After all open "run" program, write "gpupdate"  and press enter.
   After  restarting the computer you can see the change.

Hide Your Full Harddisk Or Specific Drive

   When a single computer is used by different user, it is important to keep C:/ Drive unessecss able. It is also needed for other sofesticated data stored in other drive. For many other perposses we need to hide our files or folder.

     We can hide them from "Folder Option" of  tol menu. Buy it is easy to see hidden file/folder.

     We can use folder hiding software. But there also some problem. There need to remember the password and create more problem if password lost. Allmost  every sofware store file that need o lock in C:/ drive and computer became slow if we store large files here by this software.

   Here is a easy sollution for this problem.
   Without  taking  help from other software we can hide our whole harddisk or specific drive from  "Local Group Policy Editor". Here is the method,


1.      Open "run" program, write "gpedit.msc" and press enter.

2.      Click "User Configuration" of  "Local Computer Policy".








3.      Then  click "Administrative Templates" - "Windows components" - "Windows Explorer"
4.      Double click on "Hide these specified drives in my computer" and then a new "Hide these specified drives in my computer" window will
      be open  automatically.









5.      Click on "Enabled" radio button.

6.      From the  "Pick on of the following combinations"  box select the drives you want to hide and click "Apply".








    Now you can see that dpecific drive desapiared.


    If you want to back to your previous position go to "Hide these specified drives in my computer" window and select  "Do not restrict drives" in the "Pick on of the following combinations" then click  "Apply".
